OpenAI text generator will be released in limited access. He used to be considered too dangerous

OpenAI text generator will be released in limited access. Previously, it was considered too dangerous, and experts warned that attackers could use it for their own purposes.

OpenAI’s artificial intelligence lab has announced that their neural network for natural language processing will be available for limited distribution. The company, founded by Elon Musk and received a $ 1 billion grant from Microsoft, has developed a text generator that creates passages that are almost indistinguishable from those written by man.

First, OpenAI collects huge amounts of data from the Internet and analyzes it for stylistic patterns that make it possible to realistically predict which letters or words will be written next.

When a user feeds a word, phrase, or longer piece of text to the generator, he improves the tool. The results can be used to create stories, dissertations, play chess, solve math problems, or create text scripts.

Experts warned that the system generates texts very realistically, and fraudsters can use it to publish fake news. Researchers initially announced the system in February 2019 but refused to publish the full version of the program. They feared that they would use it to spread fake news, spam, and misinformation.

The model is part of a new generation of text generation systems that impressed experts with their ability to generate text from minimal hints. This system was prepared on the basis of 8 million text documents.
